In the CWDM system, the CWDM SFP module can combine optical signals of different wavelengths through an external wavelength division multiplexer, and transmit them through a single fiber, thereby saving fiber resources.

At the same time, the receiving end needs to use a wavelength division multiplexer to decompose the complex optical signal.

●CWDM SFP modules are usually divided into 18 bands, from 1270nm to 1610nm, with a 20nm separation between each two bands.

●CWDM SFP module packaging forms are: SFP, SFP+ and XFP optical modules. Generally speaking, there are the following types of transmission distance: 40KM, 80KM, 100KM, 120KM.

●CWDM SFP module provides transmission channels with different speeds on a fiber, which is more convenient to use.

●The operating temperature range of most CWDM SFP modules is from -10°C to 70°C. Through the use of a unique non-refrigerated laser chip and optimized design to ensure the superior temperature performance of the SFP module.

●The CWDM SFP module is a passive module. It does not emit laser light. Generally, it uses PLC technology, which just divides a beam of light into several beams.

The ordinary SFP module belongs to the photoelectric conversion device, which is an active SFP module. Each module has two ports for receiving and sending, and the transmitting port is a laser.
