Precautions For ODF (Optical Distribution Frame) Installation
Optical fiber ODF is suitable for the connection of optical cables and optical communication equipment. Through the ADAPTER in the ODF, optical signals are led out with optical jumpers to realize the optical wiring function. It is suitable for the protective connection of optical cables and distribution pigtails, as well as the use of fiber termination points in fiber access networks.
Construction Notes:
In the termination, use and management of the optical cable between the wiring room and the equipment, the ODF needs to be used. Today, we will discuss the installation of the ODF.
① Lead the optical cable to the position of the optical cable fixing plate on the rear side of the ODF.
②Cut off the end of the optical cable about 1m long. Then take the appropriate length (about 1500mm), peel off the outermost jacket, insert the ground wire barbed end into the stripping position of the optical cable (slightly cut the sheath with a blade), and wrap it tightly with film to ensure contact with the cable armored steel tape reliable. Take the metal reinforced core about 85mm in length from the stripped position of the optical cable, cut off the rest, and fix the metal reinforced core on the steel wire fixing seat, and tighten the optical cable with a hose clamp to make it stable. After the stripped optical cable bundle tube is replaced with a PVC protective hose, the pre-disc is placed on the take-up area and a fusion splice disc is introduced, and the PVC protective hose is fixed on the fusion splice disc with a cable tie.
③Take an appropriate length of fiber Pigtail (usually 2 meters), put a sticker on both ends, fix one end of Pigtail to the ADAPTER of the 6-port ADAPTER mounting plate, and lead the other end to the entrance of the fusion plate, fix the pigtail with a cable tie On the welding disc.
④Move the rear box cover together with the fusion splice plate to the outside of the box for fiber fusion splicing. The fusion splice point is protected by a heat shrinkable tube and fixed in the heat shrinkable tube holder of the fiber fusion splice disc. After completion, fix the back cover on the box body and straighten and fix the optical fiber.
⑤When the fiber jumper is fixed in other positions (used on 19-inch fiber distribution frame)
When the optical fiber jumper is fixed in other positions, just introduce the PVC hose directly into the cable tie plate at the rear of the box. The other operations are the same as ③ and ④.
