China Mobile's UK Data Centre Officially Opens, With Availability Up to 99.99%
China Mobile International Limited (CMI) announced that the UK-based data center was officially opened in early December. This is also China Mobile ’s first own data center in Europe, integrating an international network switching hub and an Internet data center. The data center is located in Slough ́TradingEstate in the United Kingdom. It has more than 1,600 racks and is constructed according to the Tier III Design Document (TCDD). The usable capacity is up to 99.99%.

Previously, China Mobile International already has Singapore data center, Hong Kong China Global Network Center (GNC) two international data centers, and extensive global network infrastructure, and is also building new own data centers in German uniforms and other places. Dr. Li Feng, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Limited, said: "The completion of the new data center in the United Kingdom has enabled CMI to strive to promote secure and reliable high-speed connections around the world. We see that customers have a critical relationship between the Asia Pacific region and the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Africa. The UK data center has further expanded its global network resources, which can be connected to its SMW5 Asia-Europe submarine cable through its European local ring, and further connected to SJC, APG, SJC2AP submarine cable system to achieve Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Indian Ocean , High-speed seamless connection between Asia Pacific.
