Telefónica's German Subsidiary: 5G Cooperation With Huawei And Nokia
Telefónica's German subsidiary announced on the 11th, Dec that it will cooperate with China's Huawei and Finland's Nokia to build a 5G network in Germany.
According to a press release issued by Telefónica (Germany) Co., Ltd. on the same day, Huawei and Nokia will provide 5G access network base station equipment in the same proportion, provided that the equipment of the two companies has passed relevant security certifications. It is reported that Telefónica will start to provide 5G services in the German market in 2020, taking the lead in covering 5 cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, and expanding to 30 cities by the end of 2022, covering 16 million people.
