NTT And Fujitsu Jointly Develop 6G Optical Technology
Recently, according to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, NTT and Fujitsu will jointly develop the optical communication technology IOWN (Innovative Optical & Wireless Network) that it believes is necessary for 6G, and has held a press conference yesterday to announce that, The two parties will cooperate in the fields of optical technology and information processing that Fujitsu is good at.
6G will reach practical levels in the 2030s. NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company) put forward the "IOWN" concept, with the goal of reducing power consumption to 1/100 of the current level and expanding the transmission capacity to 125 times.
