German cable operator, PŸUR, is revolutionizing its broadband network by implementing a comprehensive distributed access architecture to deliver lightning-fast multi-gigabit broadband speeds.

Tele Columbus, the parent company of PŸUR, has joined forces with CommScope and braun TeleCom for this next-generation network upgrade. The partnership between these three companies entails a complete migration of access network technology across Germany.

Guy Sucharczuk, Senior Vice President and Segment President, Access Networks Solutions at CommScope, expressed his confidence in the collaboration, stating, "CommScope, in close partnership with braun teleCom, are best positioned to prepare PŸUR’s network for multi-gigabit service delivery leveraging DOCSIS 3.1 technology over widely adopted and field proven E6000 based I-CCAP and R-PHY based distributed access architectures. braun teleCom, which is providing value engineering, system integration and network implementation services to PŸUR, is a valued collaborator of ours.”

The announcement was made during the ANGA COM conference and exhibition in Cologne, where CommScope also unveiled its latest addition to the ServAssure NXT Performance Management portfolio, the ServAssure Profile Optimizer. This AI-based software product is designed to assist operators in increasing network capacity, improving performance, enhancing user experience, and reducing operational expenditure (OPEX) by streamlining operations and reducing customer support calls. Leveraging vast amounts of data collected from devices on operators' access networks, the AI engine analyzes this information and generates DOCSIS 3.1 modulation profiles, leading to improved stability and higher performance for broadband operators. Norlys, a Danish service provider of multi-gigabit broadband services, became the first operator to adopt this innovative product within its DOCSIS 3.1 fixed access network.

By joining forces, PŸUR, CommScope, and braun telecom are set to revolutionize Germany's broadband landscape, bringing faster speeds and enhanced connectivity to homes and businesses across the country. This collaborative effort marks a significant step towards empowering users and supporting the ever-increasing demands of our digitally-driven world.
