12CH MWDM Module

12CH MWDM Module is a 12-wave WDM based on thin film filter. It is proposed on the basis of mature CWDM technology. CWDM has 18 wavelengths (1271~ 1611 nm), but due to the relatively large attenuation in the 1270~ 1470 nm band and cost considerations, only 6 wavelengths (1271 nm, 1291 nm, 1311 nm, 1351 nm, 1371 nm) are usually used. MWDM multiplexes the first 6 waves of CWDM, moving around 3.5nm, that is, it compresses the channel interval of CWDM originally 20nm to 7nm, and expands to 12 wavelengths (1267.5, 1274.5, 1287.5, 1294.5, 1307.5, 1314.5, 1327.5, 1334.5, 1347.5, 1354.5, 1367.5, 1374.5nm), and adopts semiconductor cooler temperature control technology to achieve 1 wave to 2 wave expansion. This can increase band utilization, double the transmission rate, and save more than 50% of fiber resources.
