Product Profile
DWDM OADM module is a wavelength division multiplexing technology based on TFF (thin-film filter), with a variety of package sizes and wavelengths to choose from. DWDM OADM modules are available in single-sided (east or west) and double-sided (east and west) configurations. By placing matching MUX/DeMUX units at each end of the optical link, multiple data channels can be combined and transmitted over a single-mode fiber optic trunk.
An Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer (OADM) is a passive optical device used in WDM networks to input or output different optical channels into or out of single-mode fiber (SMF). The terms "add" and "remove" mean that the device inserts or splits one/multiple 100 GHz DWDM channels in the C-band into one or two optical fibers, while allowing the remaining wavelengths to be bypassed to the desired destination.
In the transmission optical path, OADM can realize the uploading and downloading of WDM signals without optoelectronic conversion, which is one of the key nodes in WDM optical network. OADM can be widely used in local area network (LAN), metropolitan area network (MAN) and other fields by utilizing its advantages of flexible network organization, easy network upgrading and scale expansion.
