The 24 Core OPGW Fiber Cable is wrapped by metal wire, which makes the cable more reliable, stable and firm. It adopts aluminum clad steel wire, which is equivalent to a good conductor overhead ground wire. It can receive various benefits such as reducing potential power supply flow of transmission line, reducing power frequency over voltage and improving power line's interference and dangerous influence on communication line.
Because this type of optical fiber has the characteristics of anti-electromagnetic interference and light weight, it can be installed on the top of transmission line tower without considering the problems such as the optimal mounting position and electromagnetic corrosion. Therefore, OPGW has higher reliability, superior mechanical properties.

- The compact and lightweight designs of 24 Core OPGW Fiber Cable reduce influences of wind and ice, and minimize loading of the towers of the power line grid.
- By protecting the opticing fibre using a gel filled stainless steel tube which has a high radial thermal resistance, OPGW temperatures up to 300℃ can be allowed in a single phase short-circuit situation
- The 24 Core OPGW Fiber Cable achieves high strength and small diameter by selecting the right type and size for the aluminium cladded steel wires in the center of the structure
- The OPGW fiber cable is designed with properties that maximally approach those of conventional earth wires in order to meet short-circuit requirements and to ensure secure operation of the power line circuit.
- OPGW is a dual-function cable that can be used as a ground as well as a patch for transmitting voice, video or data signals. The cable is designed for installation on transmission and distribution lines for voice, data and video communications, especially in lightning waveform monitoring systems, overhead test line observation systems, maintenance data information systems, power line protection systems, power line operating systems and unattended substation monitoring.
