As AI computing and storage devices are installed into the data center, more fiber cabling is needed to support the higher speeds required for the graphics processing units (GPU) to function properly. A basic AI compute architecture has 128 nodes or servers with 8 spine and 16 leaf switches. The number of compute fiber strands between these devices is 8192, even not including the storage, in-Band and out-of-band management connectivity needed for the architecture.Therefore, having a structured cabling system to support connectivity between the network racks and the servers and switches helps manage all these cables. The MTP-to-MTP trunks can scale up in fiber counts to best match the application.
10M 12F MTP Pro OM4 Jumper Plenum patch cord has a standard insertion loss of ≤0.7dB and a low-loss type insertion loss of ≤0.35dB, providing a cutting-edge solution for high-performance optical connections.

25G Trunk Cabling Solution
1. Core Cabling Solution:
a. Core Connection Equipment
Utilize a high-performance switch with a 25G SFP28 Optical Transceiver Module, the data transmission rate can reach speeds of 25.78 Gb/s.
b. Fiber Connection Method
Connect equipment using LC UPC to LC UPC Duplex OM4 Multimode Patch Cord or MTP Patch Cord 12 Cores.
c. Fiber Cabling Management:
Incorporate MTP-12 Cassette (12 Fibers OM4 Multimode, MTP to 6 x LC Duplex) and High-Density 1U Rack Mount Enclosure with a sliding drawer to organize cables and reduce clutter.
Alternatively, use 24F 2×12F MPO-6LC MPO Cassette OM3, Quad LC in the same 1U Rack Mount Enclosure.
2. Core to Access Connection
Employ 24F 2×12 MPO Trunk Cable OM3 Female or 24F MPO-MPO Female Trunk Cable OS2 for the core-to-access connections.
