Product Profile

Fiber Shuffle is a customized flexible optical backplane designed for high-density fiber routing in CPO switches, AI data centers, and advanced optical interconnect systems. It organizes and redistributes optical fibers between optical engines, front-panel connectors, and other internal connection points, helping simplify complex fiber management within compact equipment.

With a flexible structure and customized fiber lane mapping, the assembly provides a defined routing path for each optical channel while supporting controlled fiber length, bend radius, and connector arrangement. It can be configured with MPO/MTP, MMC, SN-MT, MT-based, and other high-density interfaces to match different system architectures and port layouts.

As a passive optical interconnection solution, Fiber Shuffle does not perform optical switching, signal conversion, or amplification. Instead, it provides a compact and organized connection layer that helps optimize internal space utilization, reduce fiber congestion, and improve installation and maintenance efficiency. Fiber count, connector type, polarity, port mapping, dimensions, and routing configuration can be customized according to project requirements.

FAQ
What Information Is Required to Select a Fiber Shuffle Assembly?
To prepare a suitable configuration, please provide the system architecture, number of optical engines, total fiber count, interface types, fiber types, connector specifications, port mapping, fiber lengths, and installation dimensions. A layout drawing or mapping diagram is recommended for accurate evaluation.
How Should the Fiber and Connector Configuration Be Selected?
SM fibers are generally used for data transmission between the optical engine and front-panel interfaces, while PM fibers are typically used for laser delivery from the ELS. Connector type, fiber count, gender, keying, polish, and optical performance should match the mating interfaces and system requirements.
Can the Fiber Shuffle Be Customized for a Specific Equipment Layout?
Yes. The substrate size and shape, fiber count, routing path, lane mapping, fiber length, outlet position, and connector location can be customized according to the equipment layout. Installation drawings, available space, and minimum bend-radius requirements should be confirmed during the design stage.
What Should Be Confirmed Before Placing a Production Order?
Before production, the approved drawing, fiber mapping, connector details, fiber lengths and tolerances, minimum bend radius, testing requirements, labeling, and packaging should be confirmed. Since the routing and mapping are fixed during manufacturing, design changes after approval may require a new configuration.
