Integrating a multiplexer and demultiplexer, it enables efficient multiplexing and demultiplexing of 8 CWDM wavelength signals, supporting passive transparent multiplexing for any rate and any service without additional configuration, seamlessly adapting to the transmission needs of various service signals.

 

  • This CCWDM module is widely compatible with 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, multi-rate fiber channel, SDH/SONET, FTTx, and CATV services. Leveraging its passive transparent multiplexing characteristics, it can flexibly support various rate services without requiring additional signal processing. Furthermore,the 8 Channel CCWDM Mux Demux can be paired with CWDM optical modules and OADM modules to flexibly build diverse network topologies such as point-to-point and ring networks, offering flexible networking options and strong overall adaptability.

 

  • Compared to traditional CWDM, this CCWDM  module has a more compact structure, higher integration, lower insertion loss, and superior optical path performance and channel consistency, effectively saving fiber optic cabling resources and enabling low-cost optical network expansion and upgrades.

Q: What is WDM?

A: WDM is a core optical communication technology for high-capacity inter-site transmission. It can simultaneously transmit multiple optical signals of different wavelengths in a single optical fiber, significantly improving network bandwidth. 

Q: What are CCWDM?

A: CWDM, or Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing, is a cost-effective WDM transmission technology widely deployed in metro access networks. It features a wide channel spacing with a standard wavelength interval of 20 nm. CCWDM, Compact Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing, is the miniaturized and compact version of conventional CWDM.

Q: What are the differences between CWDM and CCWDM?

A: The core differences between CWDM and CCWDM are reflected in cascading structure, package size and insertion loss. Traditional CWDM adopts fiber cascading. Limited by the minimum bending radius of optical fibers, it features a larger overall package size and low space utilization, with a greater number of internal collimators. In contrast, CCWDM applies substrate integrated design, with collimators and filters integrally welded together. It realizes channel cascading through parallel light beams in free space without connecting cascade fibers, enabling miniaturized and compact packaging. Meanwhile, structural differences cause obvious loss deviation. CWDM has more coupling points and higher insertion loss, while CCWDM owns a simplified optical path and fewer optical components, delivering lower loss and more stable performance, making it ideal for high-density and space-limited cabinet wiring scenarios.
