  • This Mux Demux 18CH CWDM is a standard 1U rack-mount passive device with pigtails. It functions as both a multiplexer and demultiplexer, supporting both wavelength multiplexing and demultiplexing. Utilizing a single fiber, it enables simultaneous transmission of 18 different wavelength signals, significantly improving fiber utilization and reducing cabling costs. The CWDM employs a half-path adhesive-free optical path technology, exhibiting excellent performance characteristics such as polarization insensitivity, high isolation, low crosstalk, low insertion loss, and low temperature drift, ensuring stable and durable operation.

 

  • This Mux Demux 18CH CWDM comes standard with LC/UPC interfaces and also supports customization of other interface specifications, providing customized solutions based on customers' actual application needs. It comprehensively covers the entire standard CWDM band from 1260nm to 1620nm, offering excellent compatibility and widely adapting to various service transmission scenarios including 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, 1/2/4/8/16G Fibre Channel, FTTx, and CATV.

 This CWDM supports flexible pairing with DWDM dense wavelength division equipment to achieve dual-layer hybrid wavelength division multiplexing networking, perfectly solving the pain point of bidirectional communication with large bandwidth and few optical fibers across sites.

 

  • Service Side: Both Site A and Site B can simultaneously access various service signals, including storage, IP, video, switches, and core data. Multiple sets of dense wavelengths (C29-C36, C53-C60, etc.) are first combined and split using DWDM devices.

 

  • Core Multiplexing: An 18CH CWDM Mux Demux carries the combined signal from the two DWDM sets on two independent wavelengths, 1530nm and 1550nm, completing a secondary multiplexing.

 

  • Link Transmission: Dual-wavelength bidirectional point-to-point long-distance transmission can be achieved using only one pair of idle bare optical fibers (Dark Fiber), without the need for additional fiber optic cabling.

 

  • Remote Demultiplexing: The remote site uses CWDM+DWDM to progressively split the wavelengths, completely restoring all original services without data loss or service interference throughout the entire process.
